THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

          In 1976, following my abduction and discharge from the hospital, my friend Warren Reeder, a well known Northwest Indiana business man and investigative author, advised that I needed to take some steps to reduce my exposure to whomever was involved in my abduction.  He suggested that I needed to increase the risk and reduce the benefit of any actions they might take to harm me.  He counseled that one way to reduce the benefit of any actions they might take against me would be to write a book.  That would mean that even if they were to harm me, the book would still be out there, and their actions would not achieve the same benefit as if the book had not been written, thereby making it less likely that might do anything at all.

          Mr. Reeder provided space in a huge family room in the basement of his luxury home for me to work on the book.  I worked two to four hours a day for several months.  Mr. Reeder was able to get one of the largest publishers in the country to offer me a contract.  However, someone at the publisher's New York office was friends with someone in Maine, New York who told them that the story was not true.  Eventually the offer was withdrawn and the book was not published.  In retrospect, it was probably good the book was not published at that time, because we have since learned so much more which could not have been included back then.

          The purpose of putting this story on-line now, is that since the discovery of my whereabouts, this will be on-line telling people anywhere in the world what was done to me.  This reduces the benefit to whomever abducted me back in 1975, because this website will be here, even after I am gone.  It is also my hope, that since almost 35 years have passed, that the individuals involved will no longer be a part of whatever it was that carried out the abduction plan.  Certainly the trail would be so cold now, that it would be impossible to follow.

          Unlike what I did from 1976 to 1980, when I went to many, many churches in more than a half dozen states to tell my story; I will not tell this story in churches or any other groups, nor will I make any comments to the news media.  It may have been my telling the story and distributing tapes of it that reduced the risk to whatever group was involved and led to a second attack on myself and my family in 1980.
